We carefully read the preparation method when suddenly a thought creeps into our mind: “ I only have so little time for myself on the weekends, I’m not going to waste it peeling and cutting all these vegetables just for one. meal”.

Also think of all those products that we have always peeled badly, all those fruits and vegetables that we end up hating because we do not use the right technique, thus wasting a lot of time.

Just like those other daily tasks that we could do more efficiently, the best way to peel certain products is not necessarily the traditional way ,

Read the rest of this article to find out which foods we have always peeled badly, as well as a series of tips to correct these mistakes.

Get creative: Peeling doesn’t mean wasting all your energy unnecessarily with a knife.

1. Get rid of the smell of garlic when you cut it

If you are used to peeling garlic with your hands, you will have noticed that it leaves a stubborn odor on your fingers.

If you want to easily remove the thin skin of this condiment, put it in a closed container and then shake it.

With this simple gesture, you will be able to peel the garlic in a much more efficient, practical and odorless way!

2. Say goodbye to the potato chore

We all have a habit of peeling potatoes when they are still raw.

However, because of the pulpit’s strong adhesion to the skin, it is much more practical to depart from this tradition and adopt a technique that will change your life.

It is advisable to start by cutting them lightly, then immersing them in boiling water.

You will see that the skin peeled off without any effort!

3. A hard-boiled egg whose shell can be easily removedpeel

How many times have you found a piece of eggshell in your dishes? This is because our hands are not as foolproof as we think they are.

Try this technique whenever you have the chance, and you will find that it will be life changing for you.

Just remove the shell from the top of the egg, then blow through the opening to get a perfectly peeled egg!

4. No longer wage a war on dried fruits: soak them and toast them

Almonds are the most painful dried fruits to prepare. They usually require a lot of work and patience.

Even if you buy them already peeled, you will see that they always come with a thin layer of skin on the fruit which does not facilitate its preparation, whatever the recipe.

To overcome this situation and consume more almonds,  we have the choice between two easy solutions: wash them or toast them, it  all depends on whether we prefer them raw or not.

5. There’s nothing easier than peeling tomatoes: play with the water temperatures

It’s a similar case to the potato, remember?

The skin of the tomato sticks very strongly to the flesh, which is why if we peel it raw, as always, we may lose our patience.

It is best to follow the following advice: draw a cross with a knife on the top of your tomato, then  boil it in hot water.

Immediately after, put it in a container with ice to prevent it from cooking.

You will see that this way the skin will come off easily, without any effort.

6. For ripe fruit, use a glass rather than a knife.

Kiwi and mango are difficult fruits to peel when they are fully ripe: they contain so much juice that they end up in a puree, because by squeezing them in our hands, we lose all the juice.

Rather than peeling these fruits like you normally would,  cut them in half and use a glass.

Their flesh and juice will fall to the bottom of the glass without soiling your tablecloth, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of your fruit without having to clean up behind!

7. A perfect tangerine with just 3 stab woundspeel

The smell of tangerine is very persistent, but there is another way to peel them without getting our hands dirty: with three stab wounds, as you can see in the picture, this little citrus fruit will open like a book!

8. Peel your bananas as if you were opening a packet of crisps.

We usually eat bananas by peeling them from the part that attached them to the tree.

However, this is the slowest way! We should take them upside down between our fingers, and do the same gesture as we would when opening a packet of crisps.

With this simple gesture, you will be eating your banana in no time!

As you can see, sometimes we make our lives difficult for no reason! Some daily tasks are just waiting to reveal their secrets to make our life easier!

The moral is that we don’t always have to stick to traditions, and keep an open mind to avoid mistakes like this.
