Prepare These Delicious Stuffed Cannoli

Cannoli stuffed with peach jam

Ingredients

  • 1 bar and a half of butter (200 g)
  • 1 bottle of dairy cream (250 ml)
  • 2 cups of flour (500 g)
  • Icing sugar to garnish
  • Peach jam (to taste)

Preparation of cannoli

  1. Preheat the oven to 120 ° C.
  2. In a bowl, mix the butter, cream and flour until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
  3. After kneading, form a cylinder about 25 centimeters long by 10 wide.
  4. After wrapping it in plastic wrap, let it set in the fridge until it hardens. Ideally, leave it overnight.
  5. On a floured board, spread the dough out of the refrigerator. Cut it into circles about 30 centimeters in diameter.
  6. Eight triangles are drawn from each circle. Ideally, use a pizza cutter and make the triangle cuts in the center or even in the circle.
  7. With a spoon, place the peach jam in each triangle then roll from the widest part to the narrowest.
  8. The sides should be closed to prevent the jam from coming out.
  9. Place them on a platter, with a small separation between them. Bake them at a temperature of 160ºC, until golden brown.
  10. Finally, to garnish them, sprinkle with a little icing sugar.

Ingredients

  • 2 and a half cups of flour (500 g)
  • 1 bar and a half of butter (200 g)
  • 1 can of cream or cream of milk (250 g)
  • 10 tablespoons of white sugar (100 g)
  • Vanilla essence (according to taste)
  • To decorate: icing sugar
  • For the filling: chocolate, Nutella, peaches or strawberry jam

Preparation of cannoli

  1. Preheat the oven to 120 ºC.
  2. Combine the butter, cream or milk, flour, sugar and vanilla in a bowl. You can also add more flour if the dough is too runny.
  3. With plastic wrap, create the dough ball and place it in the refrigerator until it hardens. The ideal is to refrigerate it for a day. At a minimum, it should stay in the refrigerator for two hours.
  4. On a floured table, roll out the dough then cut out a circle the size of a plate. With a pizza cutter, cut 8 triangles of equal size.
  5. With a spoon, place the Nutella filling, the peach or the strawberry jam with which you have decided to fill the cannoli.
  6. Close the sides tightly to prevent the filling from coming out.
  7. Place the cannoli in a dish, leaving a space between them, then bake them in the oven at 160ºC until golden brown.
  8. Finally, to decorate your stuffed cannoli, sprinkle with icing sugar. You can also use syrup, caramel, etc.

Cannoli stuffed with apricot jam

Ingredients

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (100 g)
  • 4 cups of flour (400 g)
  • 2 medium eggs (120 g)
  • 2 cups of apricot jam (200 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder (5 g)
  • 1 cup and 1/4 of butter or cream (120 g)

Preparation of cannoli

  1. Break one of the eggs then separate the yolk. Book.
  2. Preheat the oven to 120ºC.
  3. In a large container, place the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  4. In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar until it forms a well mixed and smooth cream.
  5. Slowly add a whole egg plus the egg yolk you had reserved, then mix again.
  6. Gradually add the flour until it forms a smooth mixture. Avoid lumps. The dough should be very homogeneous. Then refrigerate the mixture for about an hour.
  7. When the time is up, remove from the refrigerator and reserve a third of the dough. Roll out the rest so that it is the size of a 23 cm diameter mold, previously buttered and floured.
  8. Generously cover the entire base with apricot jam.
  9. With the reserved dough, cut out strips, circles or hearts that will be used to decorate.
  10. Paint the dough with egg yolk and bake at medium temperature for 35 minutes or until cooked and golden.
  11. Let your stuffed cannoli cool for a while at room temperature before serving.
