These remedies for lightening the skin and reducing spots are not as expensive as those found on the market.

In addition, their frequent use offers good results without causing side effects. 

1. Lemon and parsley to get rid of stains

The combination of lemon and parsley creates a good skin cleanser, ideal for reducing blemishes and other common blemishes that affect beauty.

The vitamin C in lemon regulates the production of melanin, helping to give the skin a more beautiful color. 

On the other hand, parsley has an astringent and toning action which helps to regulate the pH of the skin to facilitate its deep cleansing.

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley (20 g)

Preparation

  • Extract the lemon juice and mix it with two spoonfuls of chopped parsley.
  • Before going to sleep, apply the resulting paste all over your face, leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

2. Apple vinegar against stains

It can reduce the appearance of spots, thanks to its contribution of alpha-hydroxy acids. Plus, it helps regulate the skin’s pH,  reducing excess sebum and unclogging clogged pores.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml)
  • 6 tablespoons of water (60 ml)

Preparation

  • Dilute the apple cider vinegar in the water and soak a cotton ball in the liquid.
  • Apply it on the affected areas and repeat the treatment at least 3 times a day.

3. Yogurt and carrot against stains

Plain yogurt has astringent properties that facilitate the removal of dead cells that have accumulated on the skin.

On the other hand, the carrot helps to improve the complexion, it allows healing and helps repair the skin to remove all these alterations.

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot
  • ½ cup of plain yogurt

Preparation

  • Wash and put the carrot in a food processor, then mix it with half a cup of natural yogurt.
  • Apply the resulting paste to your face until you get an even layer, and leave on for at least 20 minutes.

4. The potato to remove stains

The starch in potato juice is a good remedy for pigmentation which generates dark spots on the skin. 

Ingredients

  • 1 potato

Preparation

  • Peel and grate a small potato and extract the juice from it using a fine strainer or gauze.
  • Soak a piece of cotton wool in it and apply it to all affected areas.
  • After 10 or 15 minutes, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

5. Onion juice to prevent stains

Onion juice has antibacterial and astringent properties which, when applied to the skin, provide significant benefits.

It eliminates dead cells, it decreases wrinkles and expression lines and it is excellent for fighting acne.

To reduce stains, it should be mixed with a little apple cider vinegar, in order to achieve optimal results.

  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (20 ml)

Preparation

  • Mix the onion and add two tablespoons of apple vinegar.
  • Soak a piece of cotton wool in it, apply it to the affected area and leave it on for 15 minutes.

6. Turmeric and olive oil against the appearance of spots

This popular spice has a whitening action on the skin, but it also provides  luminosity and an anti-aging effect which helps to remove wrinkles.

On the other hand, olive oil is an excellent natural moisturizer that helps regenerate the skin and brings even more noticeable results.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of ground turmeric (20 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (50 g)

Preparation

  • Mix the turmeric and olive oil until you get a smooth paste.
  • Apply the mixture all over your face and leave on for 40 minutes.
  • Once the recommended time has elapsed, rinse thoroughly with water.
