Ingredients

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup of white or dark rum (you can adjust the amount of alcohol to your taste)
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Preparation step by step

  1. Separate the yolks from the whites. Then reserve the 5 yolks.
  2. Then place the egg yolks in the blender container and beat for three minutes. This incorporates air into the egg.
  3. Add the vanilla essence, condensed milk and rum.
  4. Blend for 5 minutes.
  5. Then place the cream punch in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  6. Finally, serve in a glass with an ice cube.

Homemade cream punch, with sugar

This version of the classic Venezuelan punch is made with pastry cream. In other words, it includes sugar. If you like punches with character, this is the best option!

Ingredients for the pastry cream

  • 250 ml of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 and a half teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • Custard
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 cup of white or amber rum

Easy preparation of pastry cream

  1. Place all the ingredients in the blender container and beat until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Then pour into a saucepan and cook over medium heat. It is important to stir with a wooden spoon to prevent it sticking to the bottom.
  3. When the mixture begins to boil, cook for a minute and then remove from the heat.
  4. Then leave to cool to room temperature.
  5. Reserve the cream for at least two hours in the refrigerator.

  2. Incorporate the pastry cream and mix again.

If you prefer to use the whole egg, we recommend that you separate the whites from the yolks. Thus, you will obtain a homemade punch that is as creamy as it is light with a fine tangy touch brought by the lemon.

  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 liter of white or amber rum
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • Zest of a lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Separate the yolks from the whites. To make this recipe, you need 4 yolks and 2 whites.
  2. Then whip the egg whites.
  3. Then add the yolks in the blender and beat. Then add the egg whites and beat again.
  4. Then add the milk, condensed milk and vanilla extract and mix again.
  5. Stir in the lemon zest and nutmeg.
  6. Finally, pour in the rum. We advise you to add it gradually and to taste in order to adjust the punch to your taste.
  7. Finally, refrigerate and serve with ice cubes.

Additional recommendations

  • The amount of alcohol will depend on your taste. It is therefore more advisable to add the rum little by little and then to taste in order to obtain the desired taste.
  • Rum can be white or amber, both are perfect for any recipe.
  • Homemade cream punch is much better when it’s fresh. Leave it to cool for at least an hour in the fridge.
